Recipes for KitchenAid Chopper

Hello all -  Some of you have been asking for recipes that can be made using the KitchenAid Chopper (Mini-Food Processor).  Here I'll provide links to recipes I have created for use in the chopper and links to recipes from other sites that work well in the chopper.  ENJOY! 😊

Simple Strawberry Sauce (No Cook)

Great to pour over ice cream, yogurt, strawberry shortcake, pound cake, cheesecake, pancakes...  Also great to flavor sparkling water, smoothies, cocktails and lemonade!

I pureed mine in my KitchenAid 3.5 cup Chopper, but you could use any chopper, food processor or blender.  

 

Simple Strawberry Sauce Recipe:

Makes about 1 cup sauce

 

Ingredients:

2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and cut in half

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

2 tablespoons powdered sugar (Can add more to taste)

 

Directions:

Place all ingredients in chopper, food processor or blender and puree until smooth.  

If desired pour through a fine mesh sieve to remove any seeds.  

Store in the refrigerator and use within 3 days.

Ingredients:

¾ cup light mayonnaise

½ cup buttermilk +more if needed

½ cup sour cream

¼ teaspoon garlic powder or ½ teaspoon fresh minced garlic

¼ cup finely chopped flat-leaf parsley leaves (or leave whole if using Food Processor)

2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives (or leave whole if using Food Processor)

2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh dill (or leave whole if using Food Processor)

3 teaspoons white vinegar

1½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

½ teaspoon celery salt or kosher salt

¼ teaspoon pepper

Directions:

To Make by Hand or using a Mixer:

Whisk together until smooth: mayonnaise, buttermilk and sour cream. Add in other ingredients and whisk until combined.  Add more buttermilk if thinner texture desired.

To Make if using a Food Processor:

Use Multi-Purpose (metal "chopping" blade)  Add all ingredients to bowl and process until smooth, stop and scrape down the bowl half-way through if needed.  Add more buttermilk if thinner texture is desired.
