UPDATE!! The Cookbook is coming back to QVC2 this weekend! 4/23/22 during the 11AM – 3PM ET Show on QVC2! In the Kitchen with Mary (ITKWM) Show!

Please Save the Date & Spread the Word! Thank you so much! ❤️

I’ve LOVED all things food my whole life – Here’s a little bit about my culinary journey!

Cindy Brady!?

I come from a large family! I’m the youngest of 6 siblings. (3 boys, 3 girls born in alternating order – kind of like the Brady Bunch – that makes me Cindy!)

Here’s a picture of just some of our extended family at my Mom’s birthday party last year. We host a large part of this group each Thanksgiving!

Cooking in the 70’s

I always loved helping my Mom and Sisters in the kitchen (or the camp kitchen!) I have fond memories of pulling up a kitchen chair to reach the counter. I was my Mom’s grocery store helper – she’d make me my own little list and off we’d go filling up 2 big carts for our crew!

In My Kitchen!

When I became the Mom – my girls would pull up their chairs to help in the kitchen! We love hosting all kinds of gatherings – keeps our kitchen humming!

Cooking in Parking Lots…

Around 2009, I started entering Recipe & Cooking Contests! Was a great way to be creative and meet some of the nicest people!

…and was actually good training for cooking under all kinds of circumstances – like live on QVC! (There was a certain contest in a Las Vegas Casino parking lot where we were basically only provided a table and an oven that didn’t work!) Learned a lot about improvising!

You can read more about my cooking contest experiences here!

Cocktail Parties & Victims!

At the height of my recipe/cooking contesting – I constantly had recipes on my mind. …to the point where I would corner unassuming “victims” at cocktail parties and “chew their ears” about my latest culinary project. I apologize! I knew I had to find a better outlet – a community – to share my passion with!

In 2013, I started my website, epicuricloud (epicuri, Latin for someone passionate about food and drink | cloud, a sharing place). Over the years, I have shared tons of original recipes there and found a community of willing foodies to share with! Nothing makes my day more, than reading comments from folks who have made and enjoyed my recipes!

The Big Nudge!

A cookbook has always been in the back (very far back) of my mind. I never would have taken the leap of faith to actually write a cookbook until you all gave me the push I needed. ❤️

I reached out to a publisher and was thrilled they wanted to work together! After years of recipe testing & tweaking & tasting & perfecting – and one fun photo shoot later!! It’s finally ready to share with you!

Thank you for the nudge – I am so very grateful!

Will this be available anywhere but QVC? I’d love to order it, but unfortunately due to a TERRIBLE experience with QVC I cannot order from them.

Tina, my husband and I love watching your videos and seeing you in person. Lately my husband has been intrigued with the British bake off shows and bought himself a scale. His problem is finding recipes that are in grams. Do you have ideas for him? He has made your chocolate chip recipe and was happy to find it in grams. He knows if you weigh your items you have consistently.

    Thank you.

Hi Patricia – Yes, I have been weighing more often myself – specifically the flour, as I think that has the greatest possibility for variances. The problem I’ve found is there really is not an agreed upon standard for the weights: KitchenAid lists 125 grams/cup of flour on the sifter/scale, King Arthur goes with 120 grams, Gold Medal lists 130 grams…etc. What I do to figure out the weight for a recipe. For example I’ve been working on a new chocolate chip cookie recipe. I want the base flour to be about 1 1 /4 cups – I’ll measure and weigh that amount about 6 times, then figure out the average. I’ll note the average, try the recipe again with that amount – if it comes out the way I want it to, then I go with it. (I usually test several times) I’ve found that I tend to measure heavier – more like the Gold Medal amount. As I remake my recipes, I’ll be adding the gram amount to the recipes.

Hi Tina, just curious about your cookbook. We ordered on the release date of 10/11/202, although it was an advanced order. Received an email on 12/4 of the shipment, as if this date no book. Contacted QVC, they canceled our original order and reordered it now on Waitlist. The indicated the vendor hasn’t fulfilled the orders. Do you have any idea what’s going on?
    Thanks

Hi Kathy – I know the publisher was able to fill all the orders up until the sell-out and then they were also able to fill a portion of the waitlist orders. Let me see if there’s anything else I can find out…

Hi Tina.. Just wondering where I can get ahold of one of your cookbooks. I ordered one from QVC and it has never showed up. I am very upset about it. I called Customer Service and the kind lady told me they do not have anymore to replace it with so she said I could get a refund , but I told her I will wait a few more days because I would rather have the cookbook. . I am pretty sure it is lost. Please let me know something.

Hi Dana – I’m so sorry to hear that. I know packages/shipping have delayed everywhere – (My Christmas Cards were lost forever – and I still have a gift swirling around Niagara Falls!) Maybe give it a few more days to sort out. Reach out again please and let me know if it comes!

Hey Tina. Great success on your cookbook. I was able to get on the waitlist at QVC and the cookbook shipped the first part of December. Alas it was lost in transit and because you are so well loved the cookbook sold out. Is there any way I can get another copy or will you have more printings of the book ? Thank you for your consideration of my request.

Hi Janene – Sorry about that! I know shipping has been a challenge everywhere this season (I’m still waiting on some earrings – hope they’re not lost forever!). I do think we will have another printing. I’ll post on my socials and send an email to subscribers once I know for sure! TY for your support!
