How to Make Salsa (with Canned Tomatoes)

Ingredients
1
can (28-ounce)
whole peeled tomatoes, drained well
1
lime, juiced
1/2
teaspoon
salt
plus more to taste
1
teaspoon
sugar
1
teaspoon
ground cumin
1
clove
garlic
peeled and trimmed
1/2
medium
white onion
1" x 1" pieces
1
jalapeno, seeded and cut into 1" pieces
1
cup
fresh cilantro sprigs
tough stems removed
Instructions
Layer ingredients in blender in food processor.
Start with drained tomatoes in the bottom, then lime juice, salt, sugar, cumin and garlic. Then add onion and jalapeño. Add cilantro last.
Pulse in blender or food processor to desired consistency.
Store in air-tight container for up to 5 days.
