Can you “can” this to preserve for later use?

Hi Barbara! I believe it would need to be a cooked type salsa recipe for canning. Something like this one. Here’s another interesting article. The salsa I made is more of a quick – fresh type salsa.

Enjoyed your demos on QVC. We just received our new 9 cup processor and will be making salsa tomorrow and possibly pie dough.

Made my first salsa – very fresh tasting. Followed your recipe but seems to be missing something when I think of the taste from our local Mexican restaurant. Thanks for your help. Bob

          Hi Robert –

Thanks so much for reaching out! Yes, this recipe is a tasty and easy basic salsa and great starting point for tweaking! Sometimes I like to add extra lime juice and salt. You can also play with adding different pepper/chilies! Of course, the time of year and flavor of the tomatoes has a lot to do with the taste as well. Take care!

Thanks Tina – I’ll try tweaking it. I made a banana/blueberry smoothie tonight. I added small ice cubes at the end. My wife said I really shouldn’t put ice in the food processor. Thought I better ask the pro.

Hi Robert – So, the official use and care guide says not to process anything so hard, you can’t pierce it with the tip of a sharp knife. I think ice cubes would fall into that category. I have processed frozen fruit, which doesn’t get quite as hard as ice cubes, but still may work to add some chill to your smoothie! Here I make a “frozen yogurt” with frozen banana and pineapple. Take care!
